This was the week after spring break and it was a little hard to get into considering we missed Monday due to a snow day and everyone is still hyped up from spring break. When we started back at school we jumped right into reading the book "Of Mice and Men". The main idea of this week was the reading Of Mice and Men, learning about connections and also answering our big questions we have. Some activities we did in class that connected with Of Mice and Men was when we would write on the board about the visions Lennie was seeing in chapter six of the book and also discussing what has happened in the last chapter we read of it. The big question I had that went along with the main idea of this week was "What makes connections have meaning?" I answered that question by saying "something that makes a connection have meaning is how strong that connection is". I really love that answer to that question because, how can something have meaning if there isn't a strong connection towards the meaning By the end of the book I was a little surprised on what happened and was a little upset about the outcome of it, but I will admit reading this book was an eye opening novel about friendship and connections.
